Macrobiotic Apple Dessert - Tufahija

Ingredients:

3-5 Golden Delicious apples
3 Tbsp barley malt
1/2 cup of apple juice (without sugar)

1 Tbs. of raisins

1 cup baked grind hazelnuts (or almonds or walnuts)
Soya cream - Shoyatoo

Preparation

This traditional Bosnian dessert now made in macrobiotic way, still stays refreshing and tremendously delicious.
For cooking of apples in macrobiotic way, use tea pot or similar. I am cooking one by one apple because of barley malt price.
First remove middle from apples with knife designed for this purpose.

After that, peel the skin and put apple in boiling cooking liquid made from barley malt, apple juice and raisins.
Cook it for around 3 minutes from both sides, or till apple become little soft.
Just before apple is cooked start removing middle and peeling next apple that it can be put in liquid just after the first one is cooked.

When apples cool fill the middle with mixture made from grind baked hazelnuts, liquid stayed after cooking and little Soya cream.

Always serve with little liquid around apples and add cream on top.
