Tempura Vegetables

 

Ingredients:

Dough:
1 cup of whole wheat flour (850 Type, or Indian wheat flour)
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
water - enough for liquid

Vegetables
1 Carrot
1/2 Turnip
2-3 Cauliflower flowers
(For Summer can be used: 1/2 of Squash, 1/2 small Eggplant, 4 Mushrooms)

Cut all vegetables on slices. It is better to cut on long and wide pieces, but not thick. Because vegetables should be fried for short.

Prepare dough with flour, salt and water. Add enough water that dough become smooth and liquid like. It should be more thick then it is for pancakes dough. But also not too thick that it not goes out from vegetables during frying.
Soak vegetables into dough and

put it on hot oil.
It should be deep fried for short and then take them out to serviette. Then frying oil will be removed from vegetables.

Cut turnip and carrot on slices. Turnip can be cut on sticks after.

Tempura way of vegetables preparing is ideal for winter and cold days. It is warming the body.

For health problems it should be avoid deep oil frying and it is better to eat vegetables lightly cooked in water.
