White Beans Soup

 

Ingredients:

2 cups of white bean
5 cups water
2,5cm kombu
1 onion

1 carrot
1 parsley

1 leek
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp. of sea salt
1/4-1/2 cup of tomato juice
sweet red pepper
red chilipowder
turmeric powder



Preparation

First soak white beans in water overnight.
Throw remained water and pour new water in pot with beans. Bring it to boil and cook for 1 minute. Throw out the water from cooking.
In pressure cook put kombu, add beans, 5 cups of water and cook under pressure without any seasoning for 15 minutes. In the beginning cook on high flame, and after 3 minutes, make the it lower.

Cut onion on half moon shapes, leek, carrot and parsley on round slices.
After 15 minutes, put cooker under cold water and after steam goes out, open it. Add all vegetables, salt, crushed garlic, red chili and turmeric powder, tomato juice, and if have sweet red pepper cut on slices.
Put back soup on fire and when you bring it to pressure cook another 5 minutes on mild flame.
If there is too much water in soup, cook without lid for few minutes more on strong fire.
